Mastering effective communication skills is an essential skill across all industries and levels of leadership. In this course, students explore key aspects of business communication, including written, verbal, non-verbal and digital forms. Through a blend of theoretical frameworks and practical applications, students learn to analyze messages, understand their purpose, learn how to read an audience and identify their communication style. Additionally, students develop strategies for structuring and styling communication, building persuasive arguments, and critically reviewing their work for tone, organizational flow and clarity. The course also provides opportunities for students to enhance their ability to deliver both formal and informal presentations, as well as written reports, all within the context of addressing real-world business challenges. Ultimately, this course is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to convey ideas, information and strategies effectively to a variety of stakeholders, while also honing the interpersonal skills critical for success.
