A bachelor’s degree is required to be formally admitted to the program; however, we can begin the admissions and enrollment process before we receive official documentation. If you are in the final term of your undergraduate program, you can submit your current transcript now for our review and then provide the updated final transcript once you have graduated.   • All applicants are required to submit a personal statement of between 500 and 1,000 words (500-word minimum). Your personal statement should answer the question, “What is your interest in pursuing a career in PreK-12 education in Massachusetts?” If your undergraduate GPA is below 3.0, please also include an additional paragraph discussing your readiness for graduate education.
  • Your personal statement can be uploaded to your application.
  • Your resume or CV should contain a summary of relevant job experience and education. You may also include relevant activities, awards, and interests. Your resume can be uploaded to your application.

Two letters of recommendation from a professional or academic reference are required. Letters should speak to your capacity for completing a graduate program, and your interest in pursuing a career in education. References from education-related organizations and/or experience are highly recommended and should be from separate organizations if possible.

Please enter the names and email addresses of your recommenders in your online application. An electronic form will be emailed to them to allow them to complete your recommendation as efficiently as possible.

The tuition is $533 per credit. This is a 36-credit M.Ed. program. The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership (CAGS) and Educational Leadership Certificate are $677 per credit. A comprehensive fee of $89 per module helps to support the cost of providing the online courses, online library access, academic support and more – all of which can be accessed virtually. Students pay the comprehensive fee when they take one or more classes during a module.
