According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), in 2024, the median weekly earnings for full-time wage and salary workers over 25 with a bachelor’s degree were $1,680, while those with only a high school diploma earned a median of $901 per week.
Choose Your Degree Path
To complete their bachelor’s degree, all students must earn a total of 124 credits. Up to 90 credits may be transferred from prior coursework, such as an associate’s degree, as well as professional certifications and more. Our admissions team can help you obtain your transcripts to determine eligible transfer credits. There are four degree paths:
B.A. in Applied Arts and Sciences
With nine specializations, ranging from health and wellness to child and family studies, this customizable degree offers the flexibility and convenience needed to reach your career goals. Complete five courses (20 credits) and earn a specialization.
B.A. in Business Administration
Students explore key business operations including marketing, finance, analytics and strategy. Complete 14 courses (64 credits) and a capstone experience to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
With a B.A. in Psychology, you can pursue careers in fields like HR, marketing, counseling and more, using your understanding of human behavior to make a difference. Complete 11 courses (44 credits) including a capstone experience to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
B.A. in Strategic Communication
With a B.A. in Strategic Communication, you can thrive in diverse career paths including public relations, advertising, social media and corporate communications, shaping impactful messages for the world to hear. Complete four required courses and six electives (40 credits) to earn your Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication.

Transfer up to 90 Credits Toward Your Bachelor’s Degree
Students can transfer up to 90 credits toward their 124-credit bachelor’s degree including work experience or job training such as EMT training, licensures, certifications, professional development and prior work experience that aligns with your degree path.
All coursework from all accredited institutions, including four-year colleges and community colleges outside of Massachusetts, will be considered for transfer credit.

Under $21,000 for Most Students
Most classes are four credits and you only pay for the courses you need to take. Most students with an associate’s degree complete the program for under $21,000.
You will automatically be considered for all types of financial aid once you have completed the financial aid application process. Merrimack also offers payment plans.

As a Bachelor Degree Completion student, you may qualify for federal support in the form of loans. We strongly encourage all eligible students to apply for federal financial aid, even if they don’t demonstrate an exceptional financial need.

A complete application includes:
- Online application (no fee).
- College transcripts from all institutions attended.*
- English proficiency exam for non-English speaking applicants.
*Students need at least 12 credits in prior undergraduate work from an accredited community college, college, or university. If you do not have prior undergraduate coursework additional options may be available.
