This is the study of human physiology altered by pathological conditions, injury and disease. The individual organ systems, their diseases, diagnosis and treatments are considered in a systemic manner with an emphasis on conditions important to community health. This seminar/laboratory course builds upon the principles and foundations of prerequisite courses and enhances the knowledge of general medical conditions and the ability to perform a more thorough investigation and patient evaluation, and execute basic clinical examination and laboratory science diagnostic procedures.
