Students will gain an understanding of the components required to engage their students in a virtual setting, and know how to evaluate resources to use in the classroom. The course will cover topics such as using digital portfolios, creating hypertext lessons, multimedia projects, digital tools, instructional design elements.

This course is designed to enable students to meet the standards to be a Digital Literacy/Computer Science teacher at the 5-12 grade levels in Massachusetts. The course will cover topics such as digital Law (e. copyright), User rights, media literacy, equity of access to computing resources, privacy rights and issues, computer networks, and digital literacy and citizenship.

This course is designed to enable students to competently address the unique role of understanding technology in eLearning and teaching. The course will cover topics such as designing high-quality presentations, troubleshooting, assistive technology, academic integrity, internet safety, and netiquette.
