Prospective practicum experiences typically involve working between 8 – 12 hours per week over a day or day and a half period. Internship sites typically involve working 24 hours or more per week over a 3 to 4 day period. Working fewer hours per week can lead to a fragmented experience at any site. Most sites will tell you their minimum and maximum number of hours per week during the interview process.
